20 great images which relate a 100 years of cinematographic history
The Galleria Alberto Sordi, Sorgente Group's space
in Piazza Colonna, plays host to a photography exhibition of great films in 20 images, to celebrate Universal's one hundredth's anniversary. "20 grandi immagini che raccontano 100 anni di storia del Cinema" [20 great images which relate a 100 years of cinematographic history] is the title of the exhibition, on show from the 9th to the17th November in the context of the initiatives of the "Risonanze" calendar, part of the Rome International Film Festival, organised by Universal Pictures Italia, Home Entertainment division, and Studio Universal (Mediaset Premium on digital), the Group's TV channel dedicated to great American film classics.
From the 1923 film The Hunchback of Notre Dame, the most famous silent film of the time, to Snow White and the Huntsman, 2012's most acclaimed fantasy film, Universal has selected productions that have left a mark in the history of the film industry, and in the minds of entire generations; from moments of suspense with Alfred Hitchcock's The Birds, to unforgettable characters, forever iconic in the collective imagery, such as Jaws and E.T., by Steven Spielberg, and Scarface, The Blues Brothers, Gladiator.
